[bfdmedia] Steuben Regional Technical Rescue Task Force

All Media, This Sunday February 22nd from 9am to 12 noon at the Bath Volunteer Fire Station located at 50 E. Morris Street in the Village of Bath, The Steuben Regional Technical Rescue Task Force will be getting together with ALL the tools the team has to use at their disposal for review in one location. We would like to invite ALL Media to come to the Bath station so to further educate and get the word out to the area. This team is made op of members from Bath, Bath VA, Coopers Plains, North Corning and South Corning Fire Departments and provide Technical Rescue services such as Swift Water Rescue, Building Collapse, Trench Rescue and High and Low angle rope rescue. We have received multiple grants from the New York State division of Homeland Security towards specialized equipment as well as training, and in return we agree to cover a 5 county area if needed by the State or mutual aid agreements. This team covers Steuben, Chemung, Schuyler, Yates and Livingston counties and further if needed. The Swift Water Team has even been responded to Nassau county twice and been as far north as Albany. I think this could be of great interest to everyone who lives in your viewing, listening and print areas to know the kind of resources which are available to them in a time of crisis, and also to see and meet the VOLUNTEERS that make up this group and their skills. We hope to see you there!
